aftercare

for a regular bandage/plastic wrap:

1. remove your bandage once you get home. do not leave it on for any longer than 3 hours.

2. clean the tattoo gently with warm water and unscented soap, and then pat dry with a paper towel. 

3. apply a thin layer of unscented lotion on it and continue to do this 2x a day until fully healed, which takes about 3-4 weeks. 

for saniderm:

1. remove your saniderm wrap after 3 days, i recommend doing it after a warm shower. try to remove it slowly so it doesn't irritate the fresh tattoo!

2. clean the tattoo gently with warm water and unscented soap, and then pat dry with a paper towel.

3. apply a thin layer of unscented lotion and continue to do this 2x times a day until fully healed which takes around 3-4 weeks.

products i recommend for the aftercare process:

soap: dial antibacterial soap, softsoap, dove soap

ointment: hustle butter

lotion: lubriderm, aveeno

things to avoid during the healing process:

• being in direct sunlight

• swimming

• scratching/peeling your tattoo (it gets itchy when it heals! use lotion if it does!)

• wearing tight clothing 

• excessive sweating

• pet hair/dander
